Foggy Sliding Door Glass: What It Means and How to Fix It
The seal has failed
Modern sliding doors use an insulated glass unit: two panes with a sealed, gas-filled gap between them. When that seal fails, moisture creeps in and fogs the glass from the inside, where no amount of cleaning can reach.
Why it matters
Beyond the cloudy view, a failed seal means the insulating gas is gone, so the door is now a weak point for heat transfer. In Georgia summers, that shows up on your cooling bill.
The fix
You don't need a whole new door — just a new insulated glass unit. We measure precisely, swap in a fresh sealed unit (we can upgrade you to energy-efficient Low-E glass), and the fog is gone for good.
